Physical Therapist

PHYSICAL THERAPIST

 

MUST BE A NORTH CAROLINA LICENSED PHYSICAL THERAPIST PT.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assesses the needs of residents with physical therapy needs and matches their needs with services available. Meets with residents regularly according to treatment program schedule, evaluates, and maintains records of residents' progress.

Reports progress to management and family members and meets with them on a regular basis to discuss.

Repeats evaluations on a regular basis to measure progress according to professional guidelines.

Keeps current with professional literature and attends seminars on a regular basis to maintain and update professional skills.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

Hearing ability sufficient to evaluate residents' physical therapy needs.

Skill communicating verbally and in writing with residents and family members so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made.

Our in-house team of compassionate physical, occupational, and speech therapists provides rehab services in a state-of-the-art rehab gym. The Physical Therapist evaluates residents, develops effective treatment plans, and obtains approval for service from the referring physician. Treats residents according to the physician’s treatment plan. Participates in discharge planning. Records evaluation, treatment, and charges. Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides. Screens residents for potential benefit from PT intervention.

Requirements: •North Carolina Physical Therapy License •Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills. •Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.

Physical Therapy Assistant PTA FT MUST HAVE 2 YEAR ASSOCIATES DEGREE AT A PTA

Lenoir Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) who is licensed in North Carolina or is a graduate of an approved PTA program and is actively working toward licensure.

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is responsible for implementing treatment programs established by the Physical Therapist in accordance with all state, federal and JCAHO regulations. They collaborate with facility staff to promote the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing for the residents.

Must be currently licensed in North Carolina or is a graduate of an approved PTA program and is actively working toward licensure.
